PFL-D02 · Zoned lattice
Voronoi Lattice Slide
An irregular Voronoi lattice whose cells get smaller where the foot needs more support.
The idea
PFL-D02 is our zoned lattice slide. Instead of repeating one cell shape, it uses a Voronoi pattern: irregular cells generated from scattered seed points. Placing more seed points in one area makes the cells there smaller and the lattice denser.
That makes it easy to vary support across the foot within a single part, which is the main thing printing can do that molding foam cannot.

How the zoning works
Small cells with thin struts spread pressure under the heel and the ball of the foot. Larger cells with thicker struts at the arch and strap keep those areas flexible but still strong enough not to tear.
Why irregular cells
A regular lattice has straight lines of struts that can fold together under load. Irregular Voronoi cells share the load in more directions, which tends to give a more even feel. It also hides small print defects better.
Where it fits
Recovery after sport and all-day indoor wear, where pressure under the heel matters more than maximum airflow.
How it relates to our methods
- PFL Strut DensityDesign target: around 15 to 20 at the heel, toward the fine end of our scale.
- PFL Vent ScoreDesign target: 20 to 40, moderately open.
Care
Rinse and air dry. Use a soft brush to clear grit from the smaller heel cells. Keep away from strong heat.
