How to choose a size
Measure your foot length, then use the size chart of the specific maker. Printed lattice slides often fit more exactly than foam slides, because the lattice stretches less than soft foam.
Why printed slides can fit differently
- Less give. A lattice strap made from a firm elastomer does not stretch the way a soft foam strap does, so a strap that feels tight will stay tight.
- Fewer half sizes. Some makers print only whole sizes, or print to order in a wider range. Charts vary a lot between brands.
- Footbed shape. Printed footbeds often have a defined arch and heel cup. These only help if they line up with your foot.
How to measure your foot
- Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, in the evening when feet are largest.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark in millimetres.
- Repeat for the other foot and use the longer measurement.
- Compare it with the maker's chart by foot length, not by the size you wear in other shoes.
Between two sizes
| If | Consider |
|---|---|
| Your feet are wide or high-volume | The larger size, since a firm strap will not stretch |
| You want a secure fit for walking | The smaller size, if your toes stay inside the footbed |
| You will wear them with socks | The larger size |
This is general advice; for a specific product, follow the maker's own size guide. Our designs cover EU sizes 36 to 46.
