PFL-D01 · Fully open lattice
Honeycomb Lattice Slide
A one-piece slide with an open lattice from footbed to strap, designed for airflow and fast draining.
The idea
PFL-D01 is our fully open lattice slide. The sole, footbed and strap are a single printed part made from one elastomer, with no glue, foam inserts or separate outsole. Every surface the foot touches is lattice, so air and water pass straight through.
It sits at the open end of the range: the form a lattice slide takes when breathability and draining matter more than a smooth feel underfoot.

Why a single open lattice
Printing the whole slide as one lattice removes the seams where glued footwear usually fails. It also means the slide holds very little water: there is no closed foam to soak, only strut surfaces to drain.
Comfort trade-off
An open top surface gives the foot less continuous support than a solid footbed. To compensate, the cells under the heel are slightly smaller than at the arch, so the heel feels firmer and the arch flexes more.
Where it fits
Showers, pool decks, boats and hot weather. It is less suited to long walks on rough ground, where small stones can lodge in the cells.
How it relates to our methods
- PFL Vent ScoreDesign target: above 40, which our notes read as very open.
- PFL Dry-Out TimeDesign target: among the fastest of our three designs, because nothing absorbs water.
Care
Rinse with fresh water after sand or chlorine, shake out and hang heel-down to drain. Keep away from strong heat such as clothes dryers.
